Barbara Soutar is presently the founder and Director of Services for New Mind Neurofeedback Center in the Atlanta, Georgia area. In addition to participating in the development of Neurofeedback Professional Center in Phoenix, Az. and Synapse Neurofeedback Center in Atlanta, Ga. She is a certified parenting educator, having developed and implemented the Parenting Education Program at Charter Vista Hospital, in Fayetteville, Ar.
     While at Charter Vista, Ms. Soutar also developed and implemented the training program for new employees working on the children and adolescent units, focusing on the clinical application of behavior modification techniques. In 1998 she graduated from the Lynn Andrews School of Sacred Arts and Studies, with a focus on the use of traditional healing and transformational practices in the current times and culture. She received her nursing degree in 1979. She completed her initial training in alpha-theta neurofeedback at the Arkansas Recovery Group in 1993.
      Since that initial training Ms. Soutar has worked with professional athletes, trainers, managers, medical practitioners, as well as psychologists to assist them in successfully achieving their performance goals. In addition she has collaberated in the development and implementation of workshops for medical doctors, counselors, professional psychologists, chiropractors, and nurses internationally in her field in areas of human transformation technologies, neurofeedback, and audio visual entrainment. She currently specializes in the one on one, hands on training for other professionals entering the field .

A pioneer in the field of neurofeedback, Dr.Richard Soutar has published three books on the topic of neurofeedback and conducted workshops on the various aspects of neurofeedback at conferences and clinics in the U.S and Europe. As a former professor of psychology and sociology, he has had extensive experience in teaching and training at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. He has also been working continuously over the years as a clinician, director and business administrator of various clinics around the country as well. He developed the first fully certified internet training course for neurofeedback. He has worked successfully with professional atheletes and businessmen on peak performance as well as a wide spectrum of individuals with the traditionally labeled psychological and medical disorders. He has also pioneered a wide range of clinical screening and assessment tools for neurofeedback including, the MiniQ, The MagnitudeAnalysis System, The Interactive Self Inventory, and The NPC Symptoms Checklist. He has also consulted with a variety of equipment manufacturers on the development of The MiniQ, Distance Training and Training Screen Formats as well as the protable mini neurofeedback trainer, the Bioscan ABT. Presently he is consulting on a variety of grants and research projects for the development of cybernetic interface for ALS patients, Spinal Chord Injury, PTSD programs for the U.S Military, and Industrial Design and Marketing.
